Chief Health Officer Kerry Chant has admitted she is “concerned” about the risk of seeding events in regional New South Wales in the wake of the outbreak in Sydney and could impose further restrictions.
She noted the Berejiklian government has introduced “protective measures” in the regions such as the mask mandate.

New South Wales has recorded 112 new coronavirus infections - the state s highest daily amount this year - after Premier Gladys Berejiklian said she anticipated local cases to crack 100 in a day.
Ms Berejiklian said most of the fresh cases are family members of positive cases or close contacts, while 48 infections remain under investigation. I want to stress again, as we did yesterday, if you put yourself at risk, you re putting your entire family, and that means extended family, as well as your closest friends and associates, at risk, she said.
