I need closure : Mum of Thornliebank murder victim issues desperate appeal for information A devastated mum who had to watch her son die has issued a desperate plea two years on from his murder. Phyllis Ferns has issued a second appeal for information after another year has passed since the horrific crime without closure for the woman. She watched her 22-year-old son Anthony, known as Tony, die after being attacked on April 18, 2019. Tony was inside his car, an Audi A3, in Crebar Street , when a man approached him and violently assaulted him. He managed to make his way home to Roukenburn Street, where paramedics fought to save his life.
