The Chief Minister held a further round of video- conference with experts from various national institutions that tested the food, drinking water, urine and other samples to trace out the causative factors of the mysterious disease
Experts from AIIMS, New Delhi, the Indian Institute of Chemical Technology, the National Institute of Nutrition and other research organisations confirmed the presence of pesticide residues, organochlorine, lead and nickel in blood, milk and vegetables.

‘Make conservation week beginning today successful’
Chief Secretary Nilam Sawhney has directed the District Collectors to ensure involvement of all stakeholders to make the National Energy Conservation Week 2020 beginning December 14, a grand success.
She said in a communication to the Collectors that the State government has, for the first time, announced ‘AP State Energy Conservation Awards’ to recognise excellence in energy conservation and energy efficiency in various sectors.
Ms. Sawhney, who is the chairperson of the State Energy Conservation Mission, said the government attached high priority to energy efficiency and took several important decisions to take the energy efficiency movement forward.

AMARAVATI, Dec 11: Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy urged the bankers to extend their support in implementing government welfare schemes and help in strengthening the rural economy.
Speaking at the 213th State Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) meeting held here on Friday, the Chief Minister said it’s gratifying that 7.5 percent growth is registered in the last quarter in issuing loans and 99 percent of crop loans were given. He asked the bankers to focus on doubling farmers’ income, reducing investment costs, providing proper market facilities for the crops, and to support farmers at the time of natural disasters.

Hyderabad, Dec 11: One week after the strange illness broke out in Eluru in Andhra Pradesh, which claimed 1 life and left 600 sick, analysis carried out by various groups have found several abnormalities in the food that the victims had consumed.
The state government is going through the reports and Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy held a meeting with medical experts in Amravati.
National Institute of Nutrition found traces of mercury in rice and pesticides and herbicide residues in excess quantities in vegetables. Residues of organophosphorous in blood were also found, but said it has to be studied how they entered the humans.

AMARAVATI, Dec: 11 Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy conducted a video conference on the cases of illness in Eluru and ordered for in-depth examination and research in every aspect to find out the exact cause of the outbreak.
During a video conference with the authorities, Doctors, and experts from AIIMS, NIN, IICT,CCMB, NCDC and NIV, the Chief Minister said to test water samples, recheck and confirm if the illness is due to contamination of water or not. He said the presence of organochlorine, and organophosphorus is detected in blood samples and it should be definitely found how it happened. He said the state government has constituted a committee and directed to move forward coordinating with the various organizations, agencies, and experts conducting testing on the illness.
