The Telangana High Court had set aside a decision of the Joint Lenders Forum (JLF), a group of banks, declaring the bank account of a company called M/s B.S. Limited as fraud.
Pronouncing its verdict in a writ petition filed by the company’s former chairman Rajesh Agarwal, a division bench of Chief Justice Raghvendra Singh Chauhan and Justice B. Vijaysen Reddy had also set aside the resolution of Fraud Identification Committee identifying the company’s account as fraud.

The court also directed the Collector to launch an enquiry and submit a detailed report on the issue before the court by end of this year.

Expressing concern over the encroachment of various lakes in the State, especially with reference to an alleged regularisation of an illegal construction near a water body at Bheemaram village in Mancherial district, the Telangana High Court on Thursday warned the State government of adverse environmental consequences if the encroachments continue.
At Bhemaramn, an illegal construction near a water body (cheruvu) has been regularised under GO 59, the court pointed out. It directed the District Collector to inspect the subject land and take necessary action against those responsible for the regularisation. The court also directed the Collector to launch an enquiry and submit a detailed report on the issue before the

HYDERABAD: In order to revive the old procedure of provisional registrations of non-agricultural property in the state, on the request of the Telangana state government, the Telangana High Court on Thursday accorded permission for it to insist on the Property Tax Identification Number (PTIN) for registrations.
The court also agreed to the proposal to make it binding on local authorities like gram panchayats, municipalities, municipal corporations and GHMC to provide PTIN to those those applicants who do not have one within two days of applying for the same.
