Duggan is expected to announce new vaccine sites for seniors in Detroit and information on free and low cost transportation to TCF Center to get vaccinated.
He is also expected to provide an update on new federal payroll protection funds available to small businesses. Applications are now being accepted to ensure some of the hardest hit businesses, including women and minority-owned small businesses receive funds, a news release from the city said. $650 million has already been distributed to 5,400 Detroit businesses, the city said.

DETROIT (WXYZ) â The Detroit Health Department says Lafayette Coney Island is among the businesses in the city that have been issued a citation for violating COVID-19 restrictions.
Detroit s Chief Public Health Officer Denise Fair issued the following statement about the citation:
The Detroit Health Department follows up on all COVID-19 related complaints regarding Detroit businesses and sends inspectors on-site to ensure businesses are in compliance with COVID-19 state guidelines for safe operation. When our inspector arrived at Lafayette Coney Island, employees were observed not wearing masks. As is our standard practice, a citation was issued for a violation of the MDHHS (Michigan Department of Health and Human Services) Emergency Orders.
