Central West Coast Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association recognized the area’s best work in public relations, marketing and communications during its “2021 Image Awards: PR is a Circus event on April 13.
The local Image Awards competition is conducted annually to recognize outstanding public relations programs and to encourage and promote the development of public relations professionalism in our area.
Winners demonstrate the very best examples of innovation, planning and design. The competition recognizes work in three divisions: Public Relations Programs, Collateral of Public Relations and Digital Tools of Public Relations.

Hello 2021! Here we are just over a month into the new year and the Greater Sarasota Chamber is poised and ready to work for our member businesses and the community. This is a very special time for our chamber as we start the celebration of our 100th year. We are so proud to have served the community and supported the growth of businesses in our region for the last century.
When we look back over the last 100 years, our chamber has been at the epicenter of community involvement, lending to the development and strengthening of local businesses. If we go back to the 1920s, the chamber was instrumental in leading the charge for the formation of a new county to be called Sarasota. In the 1930s and 1940s, the chamber worked to promote tourism to our area, supported the building of roads/bridges and worked with leaders to bring the first commercial air service to Sarasota. Through the 1950s and 1960s, the Chamber’s Sports Committee enticed the Chicago White Sox to Payne
