Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong addresses the conference, Addressing the conference, Party General Secretary and State President Nguyen Phu Trong noted that a new State apparatus should swiftly be appointed in order to effectively implement a resolution adopted at the recently-held 13th national Party Congress. During the two-day gathering, General Secretary Trong said the Political Bureau, the supreme policy-making body of the Communist Party of Vietnam, will submit a list of candidates who will take the key positions within the new State apparatus, including State President, Prime Minister, and Chairperson of the National Assembly.
