Pakistan-China industrial cooperation is destined to make Pakistan a manufacturing hub in the region while the establishment of industrial zones would create vast investment opportunities for local industrialists and absorb huge manpower.
The shifting of industries from China to Pakistan would result in export promotion, import substitution, transfer of technologies and employment generation, which are the primary targets of our government as well.
Both the countries have been working to build industry in the country as work on Special Economic Zone (SEZ)’s including Rashakai, Allama Iqbal Industrial City Faisalabad and Bostan Balochistan was under process and large number of foreign investors have been showing interest in these SEZ’s for investments and government provide facilities to foreign investors, said Federal Minister for Planning, Development and Reforms, Asad Umer.

ISLAMABAD: Chairman China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. Gen. (retd) Asim Saleem Bajwa Saturday said all the major macroeconomic indicators were moving towards a positive trajectory due to immense hard work by the government.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) – Chairman China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Authority Lt. Gen (R) Asim Saleem Bajwa on Monday said the development work on Allama Iqbal Special Economic Zone (SEZ) Faisalabad was in full swing and so far 33 percent land had been purchased by 69 investors.
The total sale-able land in Allama Iqbal Special Economic Zone was 2,276 acres, the Chairman CPEC Authority said in a tweet.
He added that 182 acres of land was purchased by 07 foreign investors.

KARACHI:
The western alignment routes of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will be completed in around three years while the country is entering the second phase of CPEC that primarily focuses on agriculture and mass industrialisation, said CPEC Authority Chairman Asim Saleem Bajwa.
Speaking to businessmen at the Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), he said that work on the western alignment was underway on the route from Islamabad to Dera Ismail Khan and from Dera Ismail Khan to Zhob.
