APC South-South passes vote of confidence on Buhari, vows to work for party Published Leaders of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the South-South have passed a vote of confidence on President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration. The decision was taken at a meeting held in Abuja on Tuesday night, where the decision was reached. The meeting also resolved to work together in harmony in the interest of party faithful. A communique issued at the end of the meeting commended Buhari for his tremendous work despite the difficult situation. The communique signed by the Secretary of the Party’s Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, Sen. James Akpanudoedehe harped on the “need for the South South to meet periodically and re-energize the party into a proper winning machine in time for the 2023 General Elections.”

South-West APC chieftains urge Tinubu to join 2023 presidential race

Share Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the South West on Tuesday urged the national leader of the party and former governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Tinubu to contest in the 2023 presidential election. They made the appeal in Ibadan, Oyo State capital at the end of a meeting held by delegates from the South-West states of Oyo, Ogun, Osun, Ondo, Ekiti and Lagos. The meeting also featured the launch and unveiling of the logo of the South West Agenda for Asiwaju (SWAGA ’23) as dignitaries, including the chairman, Planning Committee of the movement, Senator Dayo Adeyeye, who is a former Minister of Works; former Minister of State for Defence, Senator Musiliu Obanikoro; and an ex-Minister of Works, Senator Adeseye Ogunlewe canvassed for support in enhancing realisation of their dream.

Okigwe APC threatens to expel Araraume in Imo On Senator Ifeanyi Ararume Leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Okigwe zone of lmo State have threatened to expel Senator Ifeanyi Araraume should he continue to destabilise the party and disparage the state  leader, Governor Hope Uzodinma. Addressing a world press conference in Owerri yesterday, the leaders said it was unbeoming of Araraume to disparage Uzodinma without whose efforts the party would have lost last Saturday’s bye elections. In a press conference text read by Hon Okoroike Chika Isreal, the chairman of all chairmen from Okigwe zone, the leaders regretted that since Araraume rejoined APC after his sojourn to other political parties,he has done nothing but to destabilise the party.
