Belavia receives its first latest-generation Embraer E195-E2

Belavia receives its first latest-generation Embraer E195-E2 MINSK, 24 December (BelTA) – The Belarusian air carrier Belavia received an E195-E2 jet of the new generation of Embraer on 23 December, BelTA learned from Belavia s press service. The lease agreement to supply three E195-E2 jets between Belavia and AerCap Holdings N.V. was signed in February 2020. Two more aircraft will be delivered in early 2021. “Compared to the current generation of jets, Embraer E195-E2 offers lower operating costs. Larger wings and new engines enable to reduce fuel burn by 25.4% per seat. This jet is also the quietest and the most eco-friendly in its class: according to the CAEP/8 standard, nitrous oxide emissions are reduced by 35%, and carbon dioxide emissions by 50%. The new fully enclosed design of landing gear ensure better aerodynamics, reduces peak load during landing, and improves aircraft alignment and ground handling, which results in lower fuel consumption,” the press service noted
