What will be Mike Tomlin s Coaching Legacy? By John Facenda on Jan 13, 2021, 11:40pm EST +
For starters I must confess that I ve never been a huge fan of Mike Tomlin. Like many other Steeler fans, I feel that he inherited a pretty strong roster with some leaders (veterans from Bill Cower s teams) in the clubhouse and a number of competent/solid assistant coaches, like Dick LeBeau and Bruce Arians. I find it odd, that Mike Tomlin, has been a head coach in the NFL for 14 years and he has NO coaching tree? The only former coordinator to get a job in the NFL as a head coach was Bruce Arians and Tomlin, didn t even hire him. He was on the Steelers staff when Tomlin got hired in 2007? Sure Tomlin promoted Arians to Offensive Coordinator, but Tomlin, couldn t even safe Arians job when the organization feared their franchise QB, was taking too many hits in the no risk it, no biscuit offense! Solution? Bring in Todd Haley (and we all know how they ended):
After a disappointing post-season, the Pittsburgh Steelers are parting ways with offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner, offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett, and defensive backs coach Tom Bradley. Katie Johnston reports.
The Seattle Seahawks fired offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer on Tuesday following a season in which the team set several offensive records but coach Pete Carroll had clear issues with how the offense operated. Seattle announced the move, citing “philosophical differences.” The Seahawks had the highest-scoring team in franchise history, Russell Wilson threw a career-high 40 touchdowns in the regular season, and wide receivers DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett both set club records for receiving.

Kelowna city council has approved rezoning for the site of the proposed new Costco. It was a 7-2 vote after a virtual public hearing last night. Most of the concerns were over increased traffic in the area of Leckie, Baron and Springfield. The project now goes to an application development permit, and Costco has committed to providing two and a half million dollars for traffic Improvement.
