The National Museum will extend its current exhibition, Evolving Civilisation: From Lop Buri To Ayutthaya Periods , to Sept 30.
Ancient items from the Lop Buri, or Lavo kingdom, (5th-7th centuries) are on display including bronze Buddha sculptures, artefacts with Khmer influences and ancient lintels.
The arts from Lop Buri was passed on to artists during the Ayutthaya kingdom and the present Rattanakosin era. The special exhibition is organised at Siwamokhaphiman Hall, the main building of the national museum.
