The TTC says that a near collision between two subway trains last summer appears to have been a case “of human error” and it is promising to provide further details about the previously undisclosed incident during a board meeting scheduled for September.

It wouldn t be a weekend in Toronto without a TTC subway closure. This time around it s a bit of a doozy because on Saturday, May 29 there will be no subway service on Line 1 between Eglinton and King stations for Automatic Train Control signal system testing.

TTC is shutting down 8 subway stations this weekend
Another weekend, another TTC subway closure to watch out for.
This time around, there will be no subway service on Line 1 between Finch and St. Clair stations on April 24 and 25 to accommodate work on the Eglinton Crosstown Light Rail Transit construction project.

The TTC will take advantage of this closure to conduct work on its Automatic Train Control signal system as well.
