The last year has seen a sea change, and not only in the obvious COVID-19-induced sense. Consider the U.S., the EU, the U.K., Germany, and Japan â what do they all have in common? Aside from being a whoâs-who list of our closest allies and trading partners, these world-shaping jurisdictions have plans to invest billions of dollars into building cleaner economies. They also have recently increased climate targets to match the scale of their ambition.
Canada belongs on that list as well, of course, having announced both clean investments in last monthâs federal budget alongside an increased climate target days later.

Dunn, who officially joins Project Arrow on Aug. 1, will steer the APMA s engineering team.
Fraser Dunn, chief engineer of special projects for Aston Martin, is joining the Project Arrow team, which is developing the first Canadian-made, zero-emissions, autonomous vehicle.
Dunn will serve as chief engineer of the project, said Flavio Volpe, president of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA).
While at the UK-based luxury sports car manufacturer, Dunn worked on such vehicles as the Vulcan and Valkyrie Hypercar.

Fraser Dunn, Chief Engineer of Aston Martin‘s special creations such as the Valkyrie and Valhalla hypercars, is set to join Canada’s Project Arrow team to develop the country’s first zero-emission, self-driving vehicle.
Project Arrow is an initiative of the Automotive Parts Manufacturers’ Association (APMA), representing Canada’s automotive suppliers and aims to demonstrate to the world Canada’s ability to produce an advanced vehicle from the ground up. The project also aims to prepare Canadian manufacturers to produce parts that vehicles equipped with electric and self-driving technology use and is named after the controversial Avro Arrow jet project from the 50’s.
