Rainfall Fails To Bring Down Hyderabad Temperatures Apr 17, 2021, 14:12 IST The cloudy skies in the afternoon and light showers seemed to have brought a respite from heatwave to the residents of Hyderabad on Friday, but the weather change had no effect on the temperature.  According to Indian Meteorological Department, the temperature recorded in the city was 36.8 degrees Celsius.   Various parts of the city experienced cool weather for some time on Friday but soon, the city was warm again! Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) in Marredpally, Bahadurpura, Bandlaguda, Charminar, Saidabad, Rajendranagar, and Uppal regions recorded 0.5 mm and 5.3 mm of rainfall. The highest rainfall recorded was 5.3 mm at Bandlaguda.

Moreover, the Parliamentary Panel has held excessive cutting of trees and use of dynamites for infrastructural projects responsible for weakening of hills and mountains and warned that this uncontrolled exercise may cause disasters in the coming years. Eighty-Six Automated Weather Stations Built Across North Eastern States To Improve Weather Forecast And Climate Analysis by Swarajya Staff - Mar 16, 2021 07:06 AM North Eastern India India Meteorological Department (IMD) has installed modern Automatic Weather Stations (AWS) in North Eastern states of India. Around 86 Automatic Weather Stations were installed in various states of the region. While 27 such stations were built in Assam, 16 stations were installed in Arunachal Pradesh. This information was given by Dr Harsh Vardhan, Union Minister for Science and Technology, Earth Sciences and Health and Family Welfare in a written reply in Lok Sabha.
