Timothy Bernard Reese, 44, of Meigs, pleaded guilty to one count possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine before a judge on April 22. According to facts admitted by Reese in court, a resident of Ochlocknee (Thomas County), Georgia, called authorities on December 13, 2019, about a suspicious brown satchel found by his dog. The dog’s owner reported that his dog had come home that day carrying the bag. When the owner opened the bag, he found what appeared to be large quantities of drugs and immediately called the Thomas County Sheriff’s Office.

(WTXL) — The Thomas County Sheriff s Office says human skeletal remains were found on Saturday shortly after 4 p.m. in a wooded area off State Road 188. The remains were recovered on Sunday by TCSO and the Georgia Bureau of Investigations crime scene technicians. They confirm remains were found in the woods near Coolidge near State Road 188 and Enon Road. Now, TCSO is waiting on the GBI Crime Lab to make an Identification on the remains that were found. The Thomasville regional office of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation will assist in the case.

The caller suspected they’d found human remains. Investigators confirmed that when they arrived. “Our crime scene, along with the GBI crime scene, worked Saturday evening until it got too dark to process. We secured the scene then on Sunday, went back and finished completely exhuming what we could of the skeleton,” said Captain Steve Jones with TCSO.
