GRAYSLAKE, IL Grayslake Central and Grayslake North high schools have been named among the best high schools in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country.
Among those schools, Grayslake Central was ranked 1,436 in the U.S. and 61st in Illinois. Meanwhile, Grayslake North was ranked 1,874 in the U.S. and 80th in Illinois.

WAYNE, NJ Wayne Valley High School in Wayne, New Jersey has been named one of the best high schools in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks more than 17,800 public high schools throughout the country.
Among those schools, Wayne Valley was ranked 2,047.

The purpose of the rankings is to provide insight into academic performance among underserved groups, showing how well schools are supporting these students, Anita Narayan, managing editor of education at U.S. News, said in a news release.

Newton, MA Both Newton South and North high schools have been named among the best high schools in the United States, according to a new ranking by U.S. News and World Report.
This year s list ranks some 17,800 of the more than 21,000 public high schools throughout the country.
Among those schools, Newton South was ranked 804 nationally, or 34th in the state.
