Andrew Drew Montano III, 56, of Lewes passed away Monday, March 8, 2021, at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa. He was born Feb. 25, 1965, in New Brunswick, N.J., son of Andrew Jr., and Geraldine K. (Banks) Montano of Lewes.
Drew loved teaching and taught at Ocean County College, N.J., and several colleges in Florida. He also enjoyed sports, animals, and spending time with his nephews. Drew had a great sense of humor and could always make you laugh. He is very much loved and will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his siblings: Donna Shonle and her husband Greg of Boulder, Colo., Marc Montano and his wife Susan of Oshkosh, Wis.; his aunt, Nancy Bunce and her husband John of Sewickley, Pa.; his uncle, Rob Montano and his wife Eleanor of Venice, Fla.; and his four nephews: Brandon and Ryan of Colorado and Matthew and Daniel of Wisconsin.

Philadelphia – which has a population that is 40 percent Black and where non-Hispanic whites make up just one-third of residents – has been overwhelmingly vaccinating white residents over others, according to new city data.
The trend is most stark within Rite Aid s distribution, which has so far given nearly 87 percent of its doses to white people. The pharmacy chain is the second-largest provider of vaccines allocated to Philadelphia, with nearly 80 stores across the city.
New data from the city shows that as of last February, for every 21 white people vaccinated from Rite Aid, only one Black person received a dose.
