Melanie Lee Wigton, Mel Bel, 46, of Lusby, Md. passed away on May 17, 2021. Melanie was born in Maryland on September 9, 1974. She graduated from Suitland High School and continued her education at Prince George s Community College. Melanie was married to Thomas Ellis on March 21, 2001 and they were married for 20 years. She worked as a Floral Designer for numerous floral shops, the last one being Karen s of Calvert where Melanie and Hemali Patel became very loving friends, like sisters. Melanie enjoyed nature more than anything. She loved to draw and loved art as a whole. She especially loved to do any and everything with her son Isaiah Ellis, her only child, who she protected and nurtured like a mama bear over her cub. Melanie would give her time whenever she could to help with events that had anything to do with Isaiah.
