(MURFREESBORO) Shortly before 11:00 o'clock Sunday morning (2/28/2021) Murfreesboro Police responded to a shooting call at the Baymont Inn and Suites at 2230 Armory Drive, between Thompson Lane and I-24. The shooting occured in a second floor room.
The injured males was air-lifted out of the area. His condition is not known at this time.
Detectives from the Murfreesboro Police Department are gathering evidence and trying to determine how and why the victim was shot.

(MURFREESBORO) Former Murfreesboro City Manager Roger Haley passed away Friday (2/20/2021) as a result of complications brought on by COVID-19. Arrangements are incomplete at this time, but will be announced later from Jennings and Ayers.
His wife, Haley, posted on her FaceBook page, It is with great sadness and heartbreak, I have to announce the passing of my husband, Roger G Haley due to complications of COVID virus. Arrangements for a
Celebration of Life will be made at a later date as I am hospitalized myself with COVID. Please continue prayers as I struggle with this unimaginable loss.

COVID-19 Vaccinations for age 65+ at this time (starting Feb. 22, 2021)
County vaccinations are administered by the Rutherford County Health Department as a drive-through at the old State Farm building (corner of Memorial Boulevard and DeJarnette Lane). Vaccinations are given Mon-Fri 8:30AM-4PM and Sat. 9AM-noon (you must sign-up and have an appointment to get the vaccination see below).

The Tennessee Titans join Ascension Saint Thomas in celebrating the first baby born on February 14th at each facility by honoring them as "Tiny Titans."

Outbuilding Fire on Thompson Rd.
Around 10:00 o clock Saturday night, firefighters responded to a large structure fire on Thompson Road. That s off Salem Pike in the Rockvale Community.
When crews arrived, they discovered a large barn with heavy fire involvement. Crews extinguished the fire and fortunately no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
