Rail projects need reform published : 13 Mar 2021 at 04:00 10 The legal dispute between the Mass Rapid Transit Authority of Thailand (MRTA) and the BTS Group over the bidding for the western extension of the Orange Line is getting nasty to the point that the government needs to step in to bolster trust in the state project. In this latest wrangle, BTS Group one of the bidders for the 120-billion-baht Orange Line last October went to the Administrative Court seeking an injunction, after the MRTA abruptly revised the judging criteria despite bidding envelopes having already been sold. On Feb 22, the company filed a complaint with the Criminal Court accusing the MRTA of dereliction of duty.
