Wetumpka teen killed in Lowndes County car crash

A sixteen-year-old was killed in a car crash in Lowndes County Saturday evening, according to authorities.
Cassandra Hill, 50, also of Wetumpka, attempted to cross U.S. 80 about 13 miles north of Hayneville around 8:53 p.m. Saturday. Her 2015 Chevrolet Camaro collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by Deborah Brown, a 48-year-old Selma resident, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency said.
The teen, whose name has not been released, was a passenger in Hill’s Camaro. The teen was taken to a hospital but succumbed to injuries sustained in the crash and was pronounced dead.

LOWDNES COUNTY, Ala. (WSFA) - A minor was killed in a two-vehicle crash in Lowndes County Saturday night, according to Alabama Law Enforcement Agency officials.
ALEA said the wreck happened at 8:53 p.m. on Highway 80 at the 119 mile marker when a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro attempted to cross the highway and collided with a 2008 Chevrolet Trailblazer.
A teenager was taken to a local hospital for treatment but died from their injuries, according to ALEA.
