Baltimoreâ Michael Parker has been named Senior Vice President of Comcastâs Beltway Region where he will serve as the head executive responsible for operations, overall customer experience and financial performance for approximately 2.5 million customers in Maryland, Virginia, Washington, D.C., and parts of Delaware, North Carolina and West Virginia.
âI have had the privilege of working with Michael as our senior executive in several markets across the northeast and Midwest over the last decade. I am equally excited for him as he assumes responsibility for our Beltway region, the largest operating region in the Northeast division,â said Kevin Casey, President of Comcastâs Northeast Division, which includes 14 northeastern states from Maine through Virginia and the District of Columbia.

In the beginning of, âThe Engineering of Racism.â Samuel Belsham Moki PhD, somewhat undercuts his own premise that racism was engineered. He first says, âEngineering means to plan, design, and build engines or structures for a particular purpose.â However, âThe Engineering of Racismâ does not quite walk us through the planning and design stages of racism per se because Moki goes right on to say that âEuropean traders never considered Black Africans as equal trading partners.â So the book really describes harnessing and codifying of something that already existed.
