Bates reveals that many women who share their stories with the Everyday Sexism Project say that when they have reported an incident, they’ve been told “they’re overreacting, making a fuss about nothing, or should have taken it as a compliment”.
Rose Caldwell, the CEO of Plan International UK adds: “There is no UK law that fully criminalises public sexual harassment, leaving perpetrators to get away with it. As one girl told us, you can be fined for dropping litter in the UK, but not for harassing a woman or girl in public. This cannot be right.”
In November, a report by Plan International UK and Our Streets Now – the campaign to make public street harassment a crime – detailed how sexual harassment was holding girls back. The study revealed that 80 per cent of parents prohibited their daughters from doing certain things, due to the threat of harassment. VOMA claims to be the world‘s first virtual museum, which opened its digital doors last year amid the pandemic. It aims to bring together seminal works of art from the world‘s most prestigious institutions, no matter the IRL location. Initially conceived by artist Stuart Semple as a means of democratising art by bringing masterpieces and work by new artists to a global audience, the museum welcomed visitors from over 50 countries and recorded half a million interactions

Showgirls, the collection stays true to the brand’s sexy, flamboyant aesthetic with a diverse set of looks, including dresses and jumpsuits with cutouts and exposed thongs, a cropped polo shirt with crystal buttons, and flowy neon green two-pieces.
Also featured in the film are Dian, Lediouck, Youngthumb, and ATM, as well as Nicola herself, who can be seen dancing against a highly stylised set of neon-lit and monochrome backdrops.
