MARION People young and old came out to Silvershell Beach in droves on Sunday, July 11 to celebrate the life of Nolan Gibbons at NolanFest, a music festival organized in honor of the late Old Rochester Regional High School student.
Gibbons was a rising sophomore at the time of his death last August and was known far and wide as a virtuoso musician with a heart of gold. The profound effect he had on people was made clear as speaker after speaker and singer after singer shared their experiences with him as a musician, an actor, and most of all a friend.

HOLMDEL, NJ - A memorial bench at Cross Farm Park in Holmdel is slated to be dedicated this weekend to a Holmdel toddler who tragically passed away in 2017. Three years later, there is still no known explanation for her untimely death.
Holmdel parents Dr. Denise Wunderler and Dr. Mike Savino experienced the unimaginable on November 12, 2017: their healthy two-year-old daughter Vienna, just two months shy of her birthday, never woke up after falling asleep watching television.

Young Jett Somerhayes-Nixon died in his sleep following a fatal seizure in the early hours of Monday. His devastated mother Julia Somerhayes last cuddled her baby four days before he died. He was leaving to spend the weekend with dad Danny Nixon and his partner Maylee.  Jett Somerhayes-Nixon was loved and adored by all those who met him. He died tragically when he was just 11.
A young boy affectionately known as Jetty Spaghetti to his loved ones has died after having a fatal seizure in his sleep.
Jett Somerhayes-Nixon, 11, who lived with autism and Lennox-Gastaut syndrome, a rare type of epilsepy, suffered a small seizure before bedtime on Sunday while spending the weekend with dad Danny and his partner Maylee on the Gold Coast.
His father gave him kisses and cuddles and put him into bed, but after falling asleep, he never woke up.
He passed away during the early hours of Monday morning after having another seizure.
