Derry s council is to carry out a review into a decision to allow planning permission for a controversial apartment complex in the city.
In March 2020, Derry City and Strabane District Council s planning committee refused Clanmil Housing permission to build a four-storey complex comprised of 39 apartments at Victoria Road in the Waterside.
However, Clanmil appealed the decision and it was overturned last month by the Planning Appeals Commission (PAC).

Delays to the A5 road project are an absolute scandal that will lead to further deaths, a Stormont committee heard on Wednesday.
The A5 plan, estimated to cost £1.2bn, would connect Londonderry to the border at Aughnacloy and improve access to Dublin.
Sinn Féin assembly member (MLA) Martina Anderson told civil servants that setbacks were putting lives at risk.
The project is currently the subject of a third public inquiry.
Officials from the Department of Infrastructure (DoI) have been giving evidence to MLAs on its progress.

A decision by Derry councillors to refuse planning permission for a new riverfront apartment complex has been overturned.
In March 2020, Derry City and Strabane District Council s planning committee refused Clanmil Housing Association permission to build a four-storey complex comprised of 39 apartments at Victoria Road.
However, Clanmil appealed the decision and it has now been overturned.
Local planning officers had described the location as ‘possibly the most difficult regeneration site’ in the city.
However, the officers had recommended that councillors approve the application for the Victoria Road apartments as the application was ‘entirely compliant’.
