Police Told Protesters They Would Be Raped In Jail And Denied Medical Aid, Chicago Inspector General Report Says

Font Size: Body-worn cameras recorded Chicago Police Department officers denying medical attention to an arrested protester having a seizure and telling another they would be raped in jail, an Inspector General’s review of the department’s protest response found. A police officer likely ignored a male arrestee who asked for their seizure medication while being transported to a detention center, since no response was recorded on the body camera footage, according to the City of Chicago Office of Inspector General report. The report looked at Chicago Police Department’s use of force and response to the chaotic demonstrations and riots that followed the police killing of George Floyd in Minneapolis on May 25. Floyd died after a former police officer knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes and nationwide civil unrest followed.

Nation s Top Small Business Group Doubles Down In Minimum Wage Fight

Font Size: The National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), the leading advocate for small business in the U.S., is focusing its legislative efforts on defeating a proposal to increase the federal minimum wage to $15 per hour. “Minimum wage is the biggest issue,” Jeff Brabant, NFIB’s manager of government relations, told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “There are other issues further down the pike we’re worried about, but we’re trying to stay focused on minimum wage.” The economic burden of a $15 federal minimum wage would disproportionately fall on small business owners who can’t absorb added costs like corporations do, the NFIB Research Center found in a 2020 study.

Corrupt, Lying, Cheating Criminal : Megyn Kelly Tears Into Cuomo Over Nursing Home Coverup

February 19, 2021 5:01 PM ET Font Size: Journalist Megyn Kelly tore into Democratic New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo Friday as the governor continued to shrug off responsibility for the number of coronavirus patients who had died in nursing homes after his March 25 order. During a podcast episode with talk show host Eric Bolling, Kelly discussed how Cuomo reportedly threatened a New York Democrat who has been critical of the governor’s coronavirus management. “This guy needs to be bounced out of office,” Kelly said. “It’s not a cancel culture thing. You have a corrupt, lying, cheating criminal at the top of the New York State Government. It is beyond time for the press to stop looking the other way.”
