The Raisin Region Conservation Authority, which manages Charlottenburgh Park near Summerstown, has announced online reservations for the campground are now open, as of March 1, and that it’s expected to be another busy season, starting in late May.
Across the region, the process of reserving spots is well underway for numerous facilities, and for Charlottenburgh Park, it’s likely the RRCA will host upwards of 14,000 campers in 2021.

Ready, set, camp! Online reservations for the Charlottenburgh Park campground open March 1 for the 2021 camping season.
Managed by the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA), Charlottenburgh Park is located on the St. Lawrence River near Summerstown, just a few kilometres east of Cornwall. The Park offers a beach, boat launch, nature trails, campground, and more. Surrounded by trees and wildlife, un-serviced and serviced lots offer campers an opportunity to relax and connect with nature.

SOUTH GLENGARRY, Ontario – The Raisin River Canoe Race has been cancelled for a second year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
the Raisin Region Conservation Authority (RRCA) announced the cancellation on their social media.
“Unfortunately, the RRCA has cancelled the Raisin River Canoe Race for a second year in a row due to the COVID-19 pandemic,” reads a statement from the RRCA. “The Raisin River Canoe Race is one of the longest canoe races in Eastern Ontario. First started in 1973, the race runs from St. Andrews to Williamstown. The race is always held in April when water levels are high.”
