The Martha s Vineyard Times COVID forum scheduled tonight at 7 Communication Ambassador partnership is hosting a COVID-19 public forum tonight from 7 to 8:30 pm to raise public awareness and understanding of COVID-19. The forum will give information on local resources and answer questions from the public. It is the first in a series focused on COVID-19. Other agencies involved in the forum include MVY Radio, Dukes County, Martha’s Vineyard Boards of Health, Martha’s Vineyard Hospital, Martha’s Vineyard Community Services, Island Health Care, Vineyard Health Care Access Program, Martha’s Vineyard Councils on Aging, Island Grown Initiative of Martha’s Vineyard, The Martha’s Vineyard Branch of the NAACP, Martha’s Vineyard Public Schools, and others.

The Martha s Vineyard Times Sheriff’s Office collaborates with MVCS to get veterans vaccinated Major Sterling Bishop, Tom Bennett, Bob Tankard, and Sheriff Robert Ogden are working together in a new collaborative program to get veterans vaccinated in Hyannis. The Dukes County Sheriff’s Office is working with Martha’s Vineyard Community Services’ Veteran Advocacy Program to transport veterans to the VA Medical Clinic in Hyannis and back, so they can be vaccinated for COVID-19, according to a press release. “We are pleased to support our Island’s veterans and Martha’s Vineyard Community Services with our community outreach initiatives,” Sheriff Robert Ogden said in the release. “Safe and reliable access to the COVID-19 vaccine is essential to the health and safety of our community’s veteran population.”
