Special Arrangement At a time when the entire country is gasping for oxygen, Prana Air for Care – a project introduced in Thrissur Medical College Hospital to reach oxygen supply directly to in-patients beds, is drawing attention.
Introduced sometime back with public participation, the project was aimed at providing oxygen for all in-patients. The project has high relevance especially in the time of widespread COVID-19. People who are ready to be part of the project can donate their share.

THRISSUR: Two persons were killed and 25 others sustained injuries as the branch of a huge banyan tree fell over the devotees and percussion artists during the Madathil Varavu procession held as part of Thrissur Pooram at around midnight on Friday.
Thiruvambadi Devaswom Pooram organising committee member Ramesh and Paniyath Radhakrishnan of Poonkunnam met with tragic end as the branch fell on their head while the percussion performance led by Kongadu Madhu was in progress. Around 7 people who sustained serious injuries were shifted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital, 28 others were admitted to district hospital.

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Kerala agriculture minister V S Sunilkumar, who had recovered from the coronavirus infection last September, has tested positive again.
He has been admitted to Thrissur Medical College Hospital where his condition is stated to be stable. He took the test after he got a cold and experienced loss of smell. His son Niranjan Krishna has also tested positive for the virus.
