Participants can drive up East Main to Railroad Avenue and then down Park Street, following the signs. There is also an option to walk up. Recipients are asked to bring their own bag and to wear a mask.

Carl Henry Deitrich, Sr. Carl Henry Deitrich, Sr., of Zion passed away on March 3, 2021 peacefully at home with his family. Carl was born at his grandparent Deitrich’s home in Walker Township on Jan. 3, 1931. He was the first son and third child of the late Walter and Leah Catharine (Felding) Deitrich. He was baptized in and later joined the Trinity Evangelical and Reformed Church in Hublersburg, which later became the Trinity United Church of Christ, where Carl served in many offices and taught adult Sunday school classes. Carl was married to Martha (Beiler) Deitrich on Dec. 30, 1961, at the Trinity UCC Church in Hublersburg. Carl and Martha met when she was his nurse at the Geisinger Hospital in Danville. He told his parents on their way home that he had met the girl that he was going to marry.

Mary Trumbower Crockett

Mary Trumbower Crockett, 95, of Gettysburg, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, departed this life peacefully at home surrounded by family on Feb. 28, 2021. Mary was born to William and Ione Trumbower in Caroline, N.Y., and grew up in Sweet Valley, Pa., where she developed her love for reading and learning that continued throughout her life. Mary enjoyed 54 wonderful years of marriage to the late David C. Crockett. Mary married David in 1946 at Sweet Valley Church of Christ and they raised their three sons, David, William (Diane), and Robert (Kathy), in Chillum, Md. They have five grandchildren whom they spoiled with love and special outings each summer: Kenne (Andi), Laura (Jay), Kelly (Drew), Theresa (Seth), and Caroline (Chris). They also are blessed with six great-grandchildren, James, Sylvia, Shepherd, Liam, Haley, and Gryphon.
