VHP plans drive to raise temple building funds

The Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) Wednesday announced a nationwide outreach drive to raise awareness on the Ram Temple issue among youngsters and mobilise funds for its construction.
VHP’s Champat Rai, also general secretary of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Tirth Kshetra Trust, said retired officials including Nripendra Mishra, former Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, and K K Sharma, former BSF D-G, would be part of the committees set up by the trust to look into various aspects of the temple construction. Tata Consultant Engineers will be the project management consultant, he said.

NEW DELHI: The construction of Ram Mandir in Ayodhya will take place solely through domestic funds from general public, and will not depend on any government funds, said Champat Rai, the General Secretary of the building Trust. By conducting mass contact programmes and collection campaigns, Rai stated that people will be made to unite closer by contributing in the construction of their rashtra temple .

The Trust said the expert committee would be provided with all the details and reports available with them as well as Larsen and Toubro (L&T) and Tata Consulting Engineers (TCE) regarding architectural and structural design, soil investigation report and pile test reports among others. (PTI)
