Crawford Countyâs standing as No. 3 in the nation on the New York Timesâ list of areas âwhere the outbreak is worst nowâ came as unsettling news to leaders involved in the countyâs response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
âThatâs not a list you want to be on,â said Eric Henry, chairman of the Crawford County Board of Commissioners.
The list detailed population centers with the largest increases in new cases of COVID-19 relative to the total population over the past two weeks. Yuma, Ariz., and Carson City, Nev., topped the list with more than 185 new cases per day between Dec. 1 and Dec. 14.
