Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, May 11) Taiwanese drug dealer Yu Yuk Lai has died while hospitalized for COVID-19, the Bureau of Corrections confirmed on Tuesday.
Yu had been hospitalized at the East Avenue Medical Center in Quezon City for a week from May 4 to May 11 due to the disease. She was tagged as a critical patient and died of a heart attack, or acute myocardial infarction, at 9:47 a.m., the BuCor said.
Yu has been detained at the Correctional Institution for Women since 2000 for drug charges.
