THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A 30-year-old man was stabbed to death by his friend following a heated argument over some WhatsApp chats at Mangalapuram near Attingal here on Friday night.
The deceased Vishnu is a native of Kurakada, Chempakamangalam. The accused Vimal, 38, of Karikuzhy is under treatment at Thiruvananthapuram Medical College hospital and he is under the surveillance of the police.
The Mangalapuram Police has registered a case and Vimal will be taken into custody after completing the treatment.

Taking serious note of the parenting gaps adversely affecting children in their growing stage, the Women and Child Development Department is set to launch a long-running series of webinars to promote good and responsible parenting.
The first in the series of webinars on positive parenting will be held on Saturday at 7.30 a.m. T.V. Anilkumar, Professor of Psychiatry at the Thiruvananthapuram Medical College, will address the doubts of parents.
“We allow advance queries from parents over a WhatsApp number (82818-99479) and in the first two days alone, we have received over 65 queries. According to police and onlookers, a Swaraj Mazda truck hit Pradeep’s two-wheeled vehicle which was travelling in the same direction near a Karakkamandapam traffic signal at 4pm. The driver did not stop the truck and sped from the scene. Pradeep was severely injured before later dying from the injuries he sustained. His body was taken to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College.
