Omnivor Raises $2 75M in Seed Funding

Omnivor, a Seattle, WA-based 3D holographic content company, closed a $2.75m seed funding round. The round was led by Sway Ventures with participation from existing investors Kernel Labs, a start-up studio based in Seattle, and other notable strategic angel investors. This financing, which brings total funding to approximately $5.5m, will support expanding its platform technology and hiring additional engineering talent. Led by Adam Kirk, CEO, Omnivor provides a solution for building, hosting, and streaming volumetric video assets for retail, advertising, entertainment, training, and other personalized content. With Omnivor, users can access and control holographic content on any device, ranging from virtual reality headsets to smartphones.

He also has a master’s degree in business analytics. In nearby Prosser, Wash., Dan Maycock grew up in the farming town of 6,000 where his dad was a pastor and his mother was a teacher. Maycock now has his own 10 acres in Tieton, Wash. after earning a software management degree from Carnegie Mellon University and working some 14 years for Boeing, Amazon and tech startups.
