On 5/19/21 at 5:07 PM EDT
Rising conflict in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) has led to an increase in violence against the local Catholic population, including killing the sick as they lie in their hospital beds says Catholic Bishop Paluku Sekuli Melchisédech.
Bishop Melchisédech reached out for aid from the charity organization Aid to the Church in Need (ACN), which offers international humanitarian and pastoral assistance to religious groups suffering from persecution. We need centers where people can go for therapy. Many people are traumatized. Many have watched as their parents were killed. There are many orphans and widows. Villages have been burned to the ground. We are in a state of utter misery, said Bishop Melchisédech.
Tanitoluwa Adewumi, a once-homeless Christian refugee in New York City who fled persecution with his family from Islamist terrorist group Boko Haram in Nigeria, is now America’s newest national chess master at the age of 10. And he and his family are thanking God for the achievement.

The landslide victory in 2014 of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a controversial Hindu nationalist, has ushered in a wave of human rights violations. Under Modi, Hindu extremists have been emboldened to carry out a 300% increase in violent attacks against Christians, Muslims and other religious minorities. Oppressive anti-conversion laws are frequently used to harass and expel religious minorities wherever local authorities are willing to do

The filmmaker behind the blockbuster hit âI Can Only Imagineâ said the success of the film in the United States made it possible for the film to be a witnessing tool in other countries, including China.
Last year, the film I Can Only Imagine brought in $17.1 million domestically during its opening weekend, and over $83 million in total, superseding expectations. Its popularity made it go âon global autopilot,â Jon Erwin explained at the NRBÂ convention in March.
He shared that when a film in America does well, it automatically gets dubbed in multiple languages to be distributed in several countries.
