The Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA) and the Presidential Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) forged a deal on Wednesday to further bolster their partnership in suppressing red tape and corruption in the government.
Under the MOA, ARTA and PACC aim “to align and integrate their functions, coordination and cooperation in handling complaints and reports of violations.”
“This has been a much-anticipated partnership that puts PACC and ARTA at the forefront of the President’s war against corruption,” PACC Chairman Greco Belgica said.

“This agreement is a big step forward in developing and strengthening the anti-corruption campaign of the President and in achieving the administration’s goal of ensuring transparency and accountability in the government,” he added.

Amid the surge in coronavirus disease (COVID) cases in the country, the Civil Service Commission (CSC) announced Friday, April 16, that the application for accreditation of private and non-government learning and development (L&D) institutions providing face-to-face and/or online L&D interventions to government agencies can now be done online.

This, after the CSC issued CSC Resolution No. 2100220 amending the accreditation process for L&D institutions with the Civil Service Institute.
The revised policy was arrived at to “comply with provisions of Republic Act No. 11032, or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act, as well as promote digital or online modes of service delivery amid the COVID-19 pandemic.”

All 1,600 LGUs have until June 17, 2021 to put up electronic Business One-Stop Shop (eBoss) to streamline business permitting and licensing in their respective municipalities and cities to eliminate government red tape right at the grassroot level.
This was made possible with the signing of Joint Memorandum Circular No. 01 series 2021 on the Guidelines for Processing Business Permits, Related Clearances and Licenses in All Cities and Municipalities by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), and Department of Information, Communications and Technology (DICT).
