If you saw that and thought to yourself, “there’s no way WWE is going to let her work an intergender match against an AEW-contracted wrestler now that her signing is official,” you thought right!

In addition to setting up the main event, the Dec. 16 edition of NXT officially announced a host and one other match for their next themed episode, Jan. 6, 2021’s New Year’s Evil. The last match on tonight’s show certainly seemed to pave the way for a third match, too.
The host will be Dexter Lumis, a character that hasn’t spoken in WWE, so that should be interesting. Even the reveal of his role for the first show of next year was done via caricature.
The other official match is no surprise, seeing as Damian Priest mouthed off to Scarlett last week and was attacked by Karrion Kross for it. Kross called out Priest after his squash match this week, and their bout was announced moments later.
