The use of the word “initial” is important here, because it’s a signal that there are more executive orders on the way, but on Wednesday evening the White House released a list of “actions”, including several executive orders, aimed mostly at legal gun owners and imposing new restrictions on them via executive fiat.

The Justice Department, within 30 days, will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of “ghost guns.” We are experiencing a growing problem: criminals are buying kits containing nearly all of the components and directions for finishing a firearm within as little as 30 minutes and using these firearms to commit crimes. When these firearms turn up at crime scenes, they often cannot be traced by law enforcement due to the lack of a serial number. The Justice Department will issue a proposed rule to help stop the proliferation of these firearms.

Along with an irrational fear of guns, anti-gun politicians and media have been successful in cultivating a hatred toward gun owners by encouraging people to believe that gun owners are recklessly and intentionally putting people in danger.

Here s the sad truth: we ll never end gun violence without addressing the many tragedies that take place at home. Intimate partners are responsible for a huge swath of gun deaths, particularly those that impact women. But these homicides are frustratingly difficult to address. Magazine capacity limits and assault weapons bans can help reduce mass shootings, but they are less effective at stopping violence within a household.

USA – -(AmmoLand.com)- As the Biden administration and the new, Democratic-controlled Congress settle into their respective roles, discussions about gun control laws are shifting from theory to reality, and GunVoters need to be aware and prepared, and they need to keep holding the feet of their elected servants to the fire on these issues.
As I have said previously, it’s very likely that President Biden will use Executive Orders to limit and restrict firearms and firearm accessories in various ways, but it’s likely that he’ll wait until he gets his attorney general pick in place first.
