Police lay charges after assault – Northern Beaches
A man will face court today charged after a man was hospitalised in critical condition following an assault at a beach on Sydney’s Northern Beaches earlier this month.
Emergency services were called to Delwood Beach, Fairlight, about 4.30pm on Sunday 10 January 2021, following reports of an assault.
Officers from Northern Beaches Police Area Command attended, along with NSW Ambulance paramedics, and found a 26-year-old man suffering head injuries near the rockpools.
The injured man was at the beach with friends when two of them were allegedly assaulted by a male following a verbal argument, causing him to fall backwards with his head striking the ground.
