DC Anantnag Launches Vaccination Campaign, Appeals Eligible People To Get Vaccinated
SRINAGAR: Dr. Piyush Singla (IAS), Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, launched the “Chalo Tika Lagwayen” (Let’s Get Vaccinated) Campaign at the DC office in Anantnag today. Dr. Mukhtar Shah, the Chief Medical Officer, and Dr. M.Y. Zagoo, the Deputy Chief Medical Officer, were among those in attendance.
The campaign’s goal is to reach 100% Covid vaccination of the district’s target groups in the near future.
Speaking on the occasion, the DC said the pace of vaccination has picked up appreciably during recent time. “We are trying to further increase the daily targets up to 13000 from the current 6000 doses”, he added.

Anantnag: Deputy Commissioner Anantnag, Dr. Piyush Singla directed the concerned officers to ensure smooth implementation of the government restrictions to contain the 2nd Covid Wave. He passed these directions while taking a meeting of elected public representatives and concerned officers here at Dak Bangalow Khanabal.
The President MCA Hilal Ah Shah, presidents of all municipalities, ADC Ghulam Hassan Sheikh, SP Nikhil Borkhar, SDMs, ACR, EOs of all municipalities and other concerned officers attended the meeting.
While praising the officers for their commendable work during the first wave, the DC said the past experience will help mitigating the pandemic this time again. “The ultimate aim is to reduce the human contact which will in turn reduce chances of exposure and infection rate”, he emphasised.

Srinagar: The locals from south Kashmir s Anantnag district on Monday accused paramilitary CRPF of trying to forcibly occupy a huge chunk of grazing land to establish a camp.
Locals from Bran village of Shangus Tehsil of Southern Anantnag district assembled here in Press Enclave Srinagar on Monday and staged a protest against what they alleged land grabbing by the CRPF.
The protesters said that without any consultation and taking locals into confidence, CRPF has initiated a process to occupy land comprising 100 kanals. It will prove disastrous for us. We graze our cattle in these fields for centuries and today they are forcibly taking this land from us, one of the protesters said.
