New Covid Delta variant symptoms revealed by Department of Health - including headaches, sore throats and runny noses

Updated: 20:15, 14 Jul 2021 THE Department of Health has issued updated advice on new symptoms of Covid-19 - including headaches, sore throats and runny noses. Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan Glynn revealed the new symptoms at a press conference today as 783 new infections were reported today - the highest number of cases recorded since February. 2 2 Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr Ronan GlynnCredit: PA The number of people in hospital with the virus has also rose to 73 of which 20 are receiving treatment in ICU. The emergency team also warned that infections are growing by two to four per cent a day as the country feels the impact of the Delta variant.

Coronavirus: Eight deaths across several months and 393 new cases confirmed in Ireland Journal.ie 2 days ago A FURTHER 393 cases of Covid-19 have been reported by public health officials this evening. The National Public Health Emergency Team (NPHET) also confirmed that eight more people with Covid-19 have died. Of the deaths notified today 3 occurred in May, 2 occurred in March and 3 occurred in February or earlier. This now brings the total Covid-19 death toll in Ireland to 4,921 and the total number of confirmed cases to 251,474.  The median age of those whose deaths were reported today was 79 years and the age range was 55 – 97 years.
