LGBTQ advocates are pushing a federal agency to include the collection of sexual orientation and gender identity among patients health records when it releases an update this summer on what information should be exchanged between heath care providers, governmental agencies, and other groups. The federal Office of the National Coordinator for Health IT is expected to publish on July 1 version 2 of the United States Core Data for Interoperability, known as USCDI v2. It sets the standards nationwide for health information exchange and establishes the baseline for what data is commonly exchanged across care settings for a wide range of uses.

How B/Haram survives on weapons stolen from Nigerian military

Data tracked by Daily Trust on Sunday show a consistent pattern of attacks on military formations around the terrorists-infested areas in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states. During such attacks, armouries, vehicles and food supplies are usually looted. For instance, between 2018 and the first quarter of 2021, the two factions of the Boko Haram have raided at least 38 military formations in the North East and in most instances carted away military hardware. Insiders and security watchers say far too many raids have been launched on some military formations that have not been reported by the media. This is besides hundreds of troops killed by the terrorists during such attacks.

TOR for Consultancy to support MoEHE on Puntland Education Sector Analysis (ESA) and Development of a Five-year Education Sector Strategic Plan

Puntland Context Somalia has some of the lowest development and humanitarian indicators in the world, and inequalities across different social groups are a major driver of conflict. The absence of central governance during the civil war has seen the northern part of Somalia split into autonomous and semi-autonomous regions: the internationally unrecognized autonomous state of Somaliland and the semi-autonomous state of Puntland. Puntland has been relatively stable over the last decade, thereby allowing for a stronger emphasis on building governance and rule of law, as well as enabling it to establish political and administrative institutions. The Puntland state of Somalia had managed to undertake a democratic transfer of political power and is characterized by an administration dedicated to the provision of critical basic social services, presence of an active civil society, and a growing private enterprise community.
