Country star and animal lover Miranda Lambert took to Instagram on Thursday to reveal some heartbreaking news: Her beloved dog of 13.5 years, Jessi, has passed away. Miranda rescued Jessi and her brother Waylon (who passed away last year) from the side of the road in 2008. Since adopting these dogs, Miranda has helped countless other pups find homes through her MuttNation Foundation, a nonprofit she and her mom founded in 2009 to promote and facilitate the adoption of shelter pets.
