In-person dining is closed right now, but there’s a bout of takeout specials to ring in Inauguration Day.
From “Dogs for Democracy” at St. Anselm to the “Biden Bubbly” at Capo Italian deli, eateries across D.C. are offering deals and specials to mark Wednesday’s historic occasion. Here’s a rundown of novelty foods and drinks from around the District to spice up your Inauguration Day celebration:
‘The Biden’s Bobby’ at Fight Club DC
JEFFERSON CITY - Some mid-Missourians had plans to celebrate and attend Wednesday s inauguration in Washington D.C. This includes two members of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated (AKA) in Missouri.
Lincoln University president Jerald Woolfolk is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. (AKA). This is the same sorority Vice President-elect Kamala Harris is a member of. My original plans were to attend the inauguration. It s a historic moment in our country s history, Woolfolk said.
Woolfolk said her and her sorors across the nation stay in contact and had the same idea to attend President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris inauguration.

Jackson, who was a staff photographer for the Associated Press in Boston and Washington from 2000 to 2009, captured the Obama years for a book of White House photographs titled, “Yes We Did,” in 2019. The former president wrote the foreword, noting their commonalities as Black men.
A press release on the BIden-Harris website notes that the Richmond, Va., native was the staff photographer to Harris during the election campaign. Prior to his role on the campaign, Jackson freelanced as an editorial and political photographer based in the Washington, D.C. area. He also served as a photojournalist at The Virginian-Pilot in Norfolk, Va. The graduate of James Madison University lives in the D.C. area with his wife, two kids, and two dogs.
