Three Texans are headed to the White House.
President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris announced the appointments Tuesday of three Democratic operatives with Texas roots: Emmy Ruiz, Cristóbal J. Alex and Adrian Saenz. All will serve in high-profile roles in the Biden administration.
Ruiz, an Austin-based political consultant, is headed to the White House to serve as Biden’s director of political strategy and outreach.

Rapper Dr. Dre’s home was targeted in an attempted burglary after news broke he was hospitalized for a brain aneurysm, authorities said.
The Brentwood home in Los Angeles was targeted Tuesday night by a burglary ring, although no items were taken from the home, police told ABC 7. Authorities told the outlet they originally thought the burglary ring was targeting Vice President-elect Kamala Harris’ home, but later realized the target was Dr. Dre.

Los Angeles Police claimed the burglars bang on fences and doors before attempting to break into homes, ABC 7 reported. These burglars reportedly did not make it into Dr. Dre’s home.

When sanity returns to Washington and Donald Trump’s insurrectionists are defeated, Democrats will control the Senate along with the House and White House which could lead to new financial help for California governments and Californians.
Although it’s unclear how the riots that temporarily prevented Congress from confirming Joe Biden’s victory as president Wednesday will play out in the long run, it’s clear that Democrats will have more ability to pass legislation than at any time since Barack Obama’s first term.
