Houston City Councilman Greg Travis has become the subject of significant criticism following a controversial Facebook post comparing first lady Melania Trump with former first lady Michelle Obama.
The image shows Obama sitting with her legs uncrossed next to a photo of Trump sitting cross-legged. Both women are wearing pants suits. Travis, who represents Houston s District G, shared the meme on December 21 with the comment: Yep. Just saying.
Ashton P. Woods, founder of Black Lives Matter Houston, shared screenshots of the Facebook post and comments underneath on Twitter on December 29, calling on Travis to resign.
