FBI scrambles to assess damage from Russia-linked US government hack
ABCNews U.S. officials have been scrambling to assess the damage from a potentially devastating breach across multiple U.S. government computer networks, include those at the State, Commerce and Treasury departments, and the nation s cybersecurity agency on Thursday issued an alert saying the threat posed a grave risk to the Federal Government and state, local, tribal, and territorial governments as well as critical infrastructure entities and other private sector organizations.
The FBI, meanwhile, said it is investigating and gathering intelligence on the breach, according to a statement released Wednesday night, but officials have said little else, and President Donald Trump has yet to comment on the attack, which officials have told ABC News is believed linked to Russia.

Washington U.S. authorities expressed increased alarm Thursday about an intrusion into computer systems around the globe that officials suspect was carried out by Russian hackers, with the nation s civilian cybersecurity agency warning that it poses a grave risk to government and private networks.
The Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) said in its most detailed comments yet that the intrusion has compromised government agencies as well as critical infrastructure in a sophisticated attack that was hard to detect and will be difficult to undo.
On January 20, President-elect Biden, 78, and Vice-President-elect Harris, 56, will take their oaths of office at the US Capitol during a historic ceremony that includes vigorous health and safety protocols.
President-elect Biden will also deliver an inaugural address that lays out his vision to beat the virus, build back better, and bring the country together.
“The JCCIC, in consultation with diversified public health and medical experts and the Presidential Inaugural Committee has determined that this global pandemic and the rise in COVID-19 cases warranted a difficult decision to limit attendance at the 59th Inaugural Ceremonies to a live audience that resembles a State of the Union,” said JCCIC Chairman Roy Blunt.
Many people around the country and in Michigan believe the 2020 general election was rigged against President Trump thus made Joe Biden an illegitimate President-elect. In fact when Rasmussen Polling company asked the question:
“How likely is it that Democrats stole votes or destroyed pro-Trump ballots in several states to ensure that Biden would win?”
They surprisingly found that 30% of Democrats responded that it was likely, with another 20% believing it was “very likely.”
Also, 75% of Republicans said they felt Democrats “stole votes or destroyed pro-Trump ballots” in a number of states. Overall, nearly half the country is not confident in the integrity of the 2020 election.

AUGUSTA, Georgia An Augusta federal judge quickly dismissed a suit Thursday against Richmond County Board of Elections and the State Election Board alleging improper handling of ballots in the general election.
Chief District Judge J. Randall Hall said he agreed with the defendants that plaintiffs failed to establish standing in the case because they didn’t show specific harm to anyone.
“The court finds that those claims are simply based on speculation, highly speculative issues,” Hall said.
Filed by the 12th Congressional District Republican Committee and three voters, the suit contended elections officials failed to properly inspect signatures on absentee ballots and that the use of ballot drop boxes gave rise to ballot harvesting.
