President Donald Trump reportedly left President-elect Joe Biden a note in the Oval Office. In doing so, Trump upheld at least one tradition of outgoing presidents.
WASHINGTON (RNS) The Rev. Kevin O’Brien said: As you live out this mission as servant leaders, I also remind you of the Lord’s promise . “The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. .. Then the God of peace will be with you.”

Garth announced Monday that he will be singing on-site at the swearing-in ceremony at the U.S. Capitol building in Washington, D.C. alongside previously announced artists including
Lady Gaga and
Jennifer Lopez.
Garth calls the opportunity a chance to serve and not a political statement, a statement of unity.
The country superstar also performed at President
Barack Obama s inauguration in 2008, where Biden was sworn in as vice president.
Garth didn t share what he ll sing but did say that it likely won t be We Shall Be Free, because that s what he sang at Obama s inauguration.
“In recognition of the enormous interest in the digital cover, and in celebration of this historic moment, we will be publishing a limited number of special edition inaugural issues,” the magazine announced.
A source told the outlet it was a “gesture of goodwill combined with excitement about being able to publish this cover in time for this special day.”
